Days ago we made a poppy flower for ANZAC Day, and we started off by getting red cellophane and cutting it piece by piece. Our teacher made us this outline with a sticky side. It was bla ck cardboard and it was shaped like a poppy. We peeled the back of it and put the cut cellophane on the back. Then we coloured in the middle black.
Now it is hanging on our window and they all look very good together. We made these for ANZAC Day when we remember all the soldiers who went to war and died.

We think of these words during the season of Advent. It is when we are
getting ready for the birth of Jesus,
We have an Advent wreath in class and there is also one in the Church. We light the candles every morning at prayers and think about these words – Hope, Peace, Love and Joy. We try to think of these words during December when we are at home with our families.
I have enjoyed this year because I have been with my friends who started school with me back in Sister Evalesi’s class. We had fun, laughed and sang a lot but also we had to work hard too. I loved being part of our Whanau movie which we saw at Sylvia Park.

today, we used google draw to mosaci piece of art. we used the poly line tool to create the piece, gradient to make the light and darks shades. I was chanlingng to put all the pieces, but it was fun.
Last week I made a picture about the story we were reading called King Midas and the golden touch. King Midas loved his family more than everything except gold. He was granted three wishes by a secret spirit and when his daughter gave him marigolds he didn’t want them and threw them away. Later he wanted to give her a hug but she turned into a gold statue. His lesson that he learned was that people are always more important than gold.
Yesterday, in cybersmart we learned how to use layers of a pictrue on kleki. we had to find an easy object to download and trace around . wewe could fill it in with hazy coulers . I like my car
Today we watched a movie from Glenbrae School. It was about them going through time and showing what their school looked like and what it might be like in the future. I like the scenery best.
Today I helped to make an earthworm home and learned some facts about them. Earthworms need to live in the soil which has to be moist so they don’t dry out. I learned that they have a small brain and nine hearts. They also have segments so they can crawl nicely in their tunnels. They eat old leaves in their mouths. 
today,in cybersmart we created a digital tapa cloth we had to duplicate
rotate and resized some of the shapes creating the black triangles was challenging.
Today we became media creators because we used images from the web to add to our columns of what we do at home and at school. I used different shapes around my pictures and I added a border. Then I downloaded it and added it to my blog. Media creating is cool.
Today we learnt about Media. Media is all around us. We use it everyday. Media can entertain, inform and persuade. In room 6 we mainly use media to entertain us. One skill we learnt was to embed a slide onto our blog.
